The Super Simple and Nutritious Sauté Seaweed Stems

Seaweed stems are the super healthy and nutritious food for all, and especially for those pregnant mothers and breastfeeding mothers and young children to grow and develop. It's rich in calcium, which helps prevents osteoporosis, and it contains a high in vitamins and minerals and folic acid.

Seaweed stems contain certain compounds that may help digestion, and improve our gut health and decrease the risk of infection with certain harmful bacteria.

The antioxidants and soluble fiber also found in seaweed which may help increase insulin sensitivity and stabilize blood sugar levels. In addition, it is good for preventing and alleviating constipation by promoting bowel movement, and has the effect of detox to help eliminate toxins from our body and it's great for weight loss.



  • 16 oz salted brown seaweed stems

  • 1/2 onion

  • 1 green onion

  • 1 red pepper (Optional)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (you can use your favorite oil)

  • 1 tablespoon tuna extract

  • 1/4 tablespoon minced garlic

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

  1. Wash the salted seaweed stems with running water 2-3 times to remove saltiness.

  2. Soak washed seaweed stems in the water for about 15 minutes.

  3. Drain seaweed stems

  4. Slice onion

  5. chop green onion

  6. Preheat Pan or cast iron wok on the stove and add olive oil

  7. Sauté Seaweed Stems with minced garlic, sliced onion, and chopped green onion

  8. Add tuna extract and salt and pepper
